The Classical Performing Arts are Alive in New Brunswick!
Posted on 09/15/2016
Come experience the wonder and power of live classical music at State Theatre New Jersey! See what others have already discovered: an intimate and acoustically-superb location for the whole family to relax, unplug, and enjoy symphony orchestras from around the world. You can be a part of the excitement by attending a special event on Sunday, October 23—our Classical Season Celebration!
The festive event centers around the 3pm Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra performance, with conductor Jacek Kaspszyk and piano soloist Seong-Jin Cho, winner of the 2015 International Chopin Piano Competition. In addition to hearing pieces by Brahms and Chopin, Classical Season Celebration guests will also enjoy a fun-filled afternoon with pre-performance cocktail reception and post-performance dinner both at Christopher’s Restaurant in The Heldrich Hotel. At this year’s event we will honor Peter and Maggie Stavrianidis for their unwavering support and commitment to the mission of State Theatre New Jersey.
Since The State reopened its doors in 1988 as a not-for-profit performing arts venue, classical programming has been an important staple of our mission, and guest ensembles have included the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, and Vienna Mozart Orchestra, among many others.
While our classical audiences continue to grow, the chance to hear world-class orchestras and dazzling soloists live is an experience that many students and even our neighbors have never had. The State strives to ensure that each person has the opportunity to witness the power of live—an experience that lasts a lifetime. Our annual Classical Season Celebration benefit helps to raise funds critical to continue presenting remarkable classical programs while also shedding light on the important role that these performances play each season.
There’s still time to get involved and support the 2016 Classical Season Celebration!
Whether it’s attending the event, sending a special message or advertising your business through the Ad Journal, or donating an item for the Silent Auction, your contribution will help us to continue bringing the finest orchestras to New Brunswick.
