Making of a Dinosaur Video

With the level of detail put into each dinosaur, it is hard to believe that the creatures in Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live are actually puppets! The designs for these puppets come from the brilliant mind of Erth’s Artistic Director Scott Wright, and Steve Howard, the head designer, brings these ideas to life. Constructing these puppets is not a simple task, and it is important to the designers that they create dinosaurs that look equally impressive on stage and up close due to the puppets’ interactions with audience members. Watch the video below and see Howard and his talented team in action as they create dinosaurs such as a baby triceratops and a pair of T-Rexes! Also, be sure to see these dinosaurs up close and personal in Erth’s Dinosaur Zoo Live at State Theatre New Jersey on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at 2pm and 5pm!
