State Theatre New Jersey's Outreach Committees
Posted on 05/03/2018

We had a blast on April 13th as State Theatre New Jersey hosted its first networking event for all three of its recently formed Outreach Committees: African American, Latino, and LGBTQ. The festive event took place before a concert on the State Theatre stage featuring acclaimed salsa band, Grupo Niche.
Diversity and inclusion is central to State Theatre New Jersey’s mission. As one of our major core values it is important to us that we work to reach new segments of our community and deepen the experiences of those we already serve.

The Committees, established with leaders in the local and regional communities, were created to help inform programming and outreach strategies to better reach our diverse New Jersey population.
Check out this video on our Outreach Committees and featuring African American Outreach Committee Chair Brian Agnew, LGBTQ Outreach Committee Chair Dave Retcher, and African American Outreach Committee Member Paul Ashley (created by SocialFix):

Celebrating diversity and inclusion, the festive April 13th event brought together respected community leaders with a wide range of backgrounds, including leading nonprofit agencies, government representatives, corporate leaders, and members of the philanthropic community.
