Posted on 05/05/2021
This spring, Brady Rymer is joining the Milk & Cookies Music and Storytelling Series to rock out with a new performance! This show will be available online until July 1, 2021.
Brady Rymer is well-known for his rustic rock sound and whimsical lyrics. His music has garnered three Children’s Grammy®️ nominations and three Parent’s Choice Gold Awards. In his 20+ year music career, Rymer and his music group, Brady and The Little Band That Could, released 10 albums.
Rymer spent the first decade of his career with RCA Records jam band From Good Homes, recording and touring with famous artists from the Dave Matthews Band to Bob Dylan. After starting a family, Rymer wrote his first children’s album Good Morning, Gus in 2001. Ten albums later, Rymer is touring across the country for his fanbase of families.
Rymer’s tunes encourage individuality and kindness among his young audience. Focused on touching the hearts of families through his music, in a 2020 interview with Broadway World, Rymer said he “fell in love with the special connection that you make with the kids & family audience.” The family-friendly musician often even writes his albums with families and children. His most recent album, Under The Big Umbrella was inspired and written with students and teachers. The album features feel-good songs like “Don't You Push Me Down,” encouraging self expression among his young listeners.
Rymer’s band has played for audiences across the country in performing arts centers, concert halls, clubs, outdoor festivals, schools and libraries. The pop and rock guitarist often plays sensory-friendly shows. His album “Love Me For Who I Am” celebrates all children, inspired by his work with students with autism and Asperger's syndrome.
From Rymer's work with Michelle Obama’s Let's Move campaign in the album Songs for a Healthier America to his original songs in educational HBO releases, he makes an impact on the youth. In the words of Brady Rymer's newest single, “let's make a better world to live in!" Rymer continues to spread positivity and joy through his heartwarming music.
