Based on advice from the CDC and the state of New Jersey as well as best practices adopted by the Broadway League, State Theatre has implemented the following guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and protect the health of our audiences, staff, artists, and crew:

If you are feeling ill the day of an event or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, please do not come. Call Guest Services to discuss your options at 732-246-7469.

Patrons attending an event at State Theatre New Jersey must either show proof of Covid-19 vaccination via a vaccine card (photo of the card is acceptable) or through NJ’s Docket App (available for download to your mobile device on Apple App Store or Google Play) OR you must present a negative COVID-19 PCR test taken within 48 hours of the performance date. All patrons 12 years or older must present a photo ID (valid driver’s license, passport, or school ID) to match the name with the vaccine or Covid-19 test, children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult who can verify their test.

All patrons two years or older are required to wear masks at all times inside the venue.

These policies will be re-evaluated in November 2021.

State Theatre presented performances are exchangeable for another performance or for credit on your State Theatre account that can be used towards a future performance. Account Credits expire June 30, 2022 but can be applied towards a performance after that expiration date. Credits can only be made to the original purchaser and are issued for the value of the tickets only. Please note: exchanges or credits are not allowed for an event once a patron has arrived at the theater for the event.

Thank you for your patience and support and for helping ensure we can all gather safely to enjoy the transformative POWER OF LIVE PERFORMANCES. Stay tuned as we will regularly update this web page with the latest information on our safety protocols and reopening.
