We are excited to announce that State Theatre New Jersey will reopen for live in-person performances this fall!

We cannot wait to welcome you back in the fall to our  newly renovated building and our 100th anniversary season. New shows are now being announced, including our 2021-22 Broadway Series and our very special Centennial Series, in celebration of our 100th Anniversary and newly renovated theater. As we prepare to reopen, your health and well-being continues to be our top priority. We will monitor and follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the federal, state, and local officials.

Many new safety features are being implemented, and policies are being updated, for your health and safety:

Touchless Restrooms

All New Restrooms with touchless technology

Protective Barriers

Refurbished lobbies and Studio space

Sanitizing Stations

Sanitation stations throughout the theater

Air Filtration

New HVAC systems with MERV-13 filtration

Contactless Ticketing

Contactless transactions through our website, print-at-home ticketing, and online event programs

Enhanced Cleaning

Thorough cleaning and disinfecting of the theater before all performances

Updated Theater Policies:

  • If you are feeling ill the day of an event or have been exposed to someone who has COVID-19, please do not come. Call Guest Services to discuss your options at 732-246-7469.
  • State Theatre presented performances are exchangeable for another performance or for credit on your State Theatre account that can be used towards a future performance. Account Credits expire June 30, 2022 but can be applied towards a performance after that expiration date. Credits can only be made to the original purchaser and are issued for the value of the tickets only.

  • Is the State Theatre’s Guest Services Office available during this time?
    ​Due to renovations at our theatre and COVID-19 mitigation efforts, the Guest Services office is currently available by phone and email only. Guest Services phone hours are currently Tuesday, 11am to 4pm; Wednesday, 11am to 4pm; and Thursday, 10am-5pm. Email info@STNJ.org

  • What safety measures will be put in place at the theater when it reopens?
    The health and well-being of our guests continues to be our top priority. We will monitor and follow all health and safety guidelines provided by the federal, state, and local officials. In addition to the policies stated above, more extensive health and safety plans will be shared as we near our fall reopening.
