NEil Sedaka

See singer-songwriter Neil Sedaka live in concert! After being catapulted to stardom when singer Connie Francis recorded his song "Stupid Cupid," Sedaka went on to become one of the first teen pop sensations of the 1950s, a successful songwriter in the 1960s, and a superstar in the 1970s. His chart-topping hits include  "Calendar Girl," "The Diary," "Oh! Carol," "Little Devil," "Happy Birthday Sweet Sixteen," "Next Door To An Angel," and "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do." As a songwriter, Sedaka has penned hit songs for artists such as Frank Sinatra (“The Hungry Years”), Elvis Presley (“Solitaire”),  Tom Jones (“Puppet Man”), The Monkees (“When Love Comes Knocking At Your Door”), and The Fifth Dimension (“Workin’ on a Groovy Thing”).

This performance is part of State Theatre New Jersey’s 2020 Annual Benefit Gala. All proceeds help provide education and community engagement programs reaching more than 40,000 children, families, and underserved residents each year and support the continued excellence of our world-class mainstage performances.
