Established in 1914 by the Middlesex County Board of County Commissioners as the nation's first vocational-technical high school district, Middlesex County Magnet Schools provides free and specialized public education for all Middlesex County residents.
The School of the Arts, located at the East Brunswick Magnet School, holds a newly renovated, state-of-the-art Performing Arts Center, where students from the theatre, dance, music, and arts programs showcase their talents.
Students in the district benefit from 33 distinct career program offerings at high schools in five local municipalities: East Brunswick Magnet School, Edison Academy Magnet School, Perth Amboy Magnet School, Piscataway Magnet School, and Woodbridge Academy Magnet School.
