Milk & Cookies Series for Ages 3-8
State Theatre New Jersey’s Milk & Cookies series is a fun interactive storytelling and music program held in our cozy Studio space.
Perfect for little ones ages 3–8, it’s a magical way to introduce kids to the joy of live performance. Join us on select Saturdays at 10am or 12pm for the perfect family outing. Tickets are just $5, and every child gets a yummy cookie and a carton of milk after the show, generously provided by our friends at Cream-O-Land Dairy and La Bon Bake Shoppe. Snuggle up, laugh, sing along, and share the joy of a live performance—it’s a sweet way to bond with your little ones!
We are especially proud to offer sensory-friendly performances at 12pm. These shows feature reduced sound levels, a judgment-free environment, and the freedom for children to move around or make noise as needed—making live theater welcoming and comfortable for kids with sensory sensitivities or anyone who thrives in a calmer setting. Sensory-friendly items including headphones and weighted blankets are also available.
