Braille signage is available throughout STNJ, including elevator, restrooms, lounge, seating boxes, and emergency stairwell exits.
Our theater features ADA-approved automatic door openers. Patrons with limited mobility may be dropped off at our front entrance which allows access to all public places within the theater. An elevator, located on the left as you enter our main lobby, provides wheelchair access to all public areas of our theater including: all lobbies, the orchestra and balcony levels of the main auditorium, our Studio space, all restrooms, and our VIP Donor Lounge.
Our main auditorium offers designated wheelchair locations in the front, middle, and rear orchestra as well as the balcony loge for wheelchair users who want to remain in their wheelchair. Transfer seats are also available in the front, middle, and rear orchestra for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility who wish to transfer to a theater seat. Adjacent seats are also available for purchase. Staff can assist you from the front door of the theater to your seats.
It is prohibited for anyone, other than those requiring the accessible features of a seat or that of a guest's companion to use accessible seating locations (unless the area has been released for general seating). Those purchasing wheelchair accessible seating may purchase one (1) wheelchair accessible seat and up to three (3) companion seats; any additional seats must be purchased in the regular seating areas. This policy ensures that we are able to accommodate all available and accessible wheelchair seats in our theater.
We are happy to welcome your registered service animal. Please contact us in advance so we can be prepared for your arrival.
Our newly renovated theater auditorium features a large-area Dual FM and Wi-Fi assistive listening system. This state-of-the-art digital audio system allows you the choice of listening with a headset, provided at our Coat Check location for free before your show. We’ll ask for a driver’s license or credit card as a deposit for headset usage.
ASL Interpretation is available by request for certain performances with at least two weeks advance notice. Call our Guest Services office during normal operating hours at 732-246-7469, or email email@example.com.
Our newly renovated restrooms are all wheelchair accessible and located on all levels. Companion/family friendly private restrooms are also available off our main lobby and balcony level lobby.
