Daria Vasileva is a concert pianist known as an ambassador of Alexander Scriabin's music. Her debut album, Scriabin: Elements, released in 2026 on the French label Aparté, was praised by Gramophone as "an auspicious debut." Her performances are built around one goal: an intimate, passionate connection between performer and audience — a connection she brings to her core repertoire of Scriabin, Bach, and Medtner.
Vasileva received a classical education at one of Russia's largest conservatories, in Kazan, where she honed her skills as a concert performer, ensemble artist, accompanist, and teacher. After graduating and winning several international competitions, including the Smetana International Piano Competition in the Czech Republic, she was awarded an ESKAS grant from the Swiss government to study at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts in Lucerne.
Under the guidance of Professor Benjamin Moser, Vasileva became deeply captivated by Scriabin's music—a fascination that has since defined her artistic path. In 2023, she won Second Prize and the Malaga Symphony Orchestra Prize at the Campillos International Piano Competition in Spain, and in 2024, Second Prize and the Special Scriabin Prize at the Scriabin International Piano Competition in Italy.
In Switzerland, Vasileva made her debut as a soloist at the KKL, one of Europe's finest concert halls, performing Mozart's Piano Concerto No. 23 with the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra under Michael Sanderling.
Currently based in the U.S., Vasileva is building an active concert life across the country. In 2026, she was selected as a Gilmore Festival Fellow, and in August she performed at The Reach stage of the Kennedy Center in Washington, D.C., as part of the Washington Piano Festival. Beyond the concert hall, Vasileva's artistry reaches more than 80,000 followers across social media, united by their love of classical music.
