Celebrating her third season as State Theatre New Jersey’s Poet-In-Residence, Alyea Pierce is an award-winning poet, National Geographic Explorer, and Fulbright Scholar whose artistry weaves together the art of spoken-word poetry and cultural exploration. With two decades of commanding stages worldwide, Pierce has earned recognition from institutions like The Smithsonian, NPR, and TEDx while collaborating across South Africa, the UK, Central America, and the Caribbean.
